Before Carpet Installation
Before your new carpet is installed, the old carpet or flooring must be removed completely. If you elect to move your own furniture please make sure this is done prior to installers arrival. Remove all furniture, furnishings, and items from the room, wall, and closets.
During Carpet Installation
It’s extremely important to be home during the days that carpet installation is taking place to answer questions for your installation crew. Please be at the job site when the crew arrives to do a walk-through and sign the necessary paperwork. You are welcome to stay on site during the installation, as long as you are out of the way of the crew.
Keep kids and pets aways from the rooms receiving new carpet, as well as the area in your home designated for the installation crew. Your crew will need a space to keep their many tools, and to make cuts or adjustments as needed.
After Carpet Installation
Establish proper ventilation in the home for the new carpet smell to dissipate. Check to see if your doors still have full range of motion with the new carpet pile height as you may need to have doors shaved down to swing properly. Your new carpet can receive light foot traffic without shoes, and you can vacuum any shedding you see. Carefully bring items back into the room using protectors on the feet of chairs, tables, and furniture.
